Isa de Ponce is a brand that celebrates the bold, unfiltered spirit of Isabel Maria Flores—Isa. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Isa came to the U.S. with a dream, but things didn’t turn out how she expected. Despite the challenges, she lived life on her own terms, never caving to societal pressures. From her no-nonsense attitude ("no tenía pelos en la lengua") to her infectious energy, Isa’s presence always reminded everyone of the true essence of Puerto Rico.

Her cooking was legendary—arroz con habichuelas that could warm your soul and café con leche that was second to none. Cooking was Isa’s love language, and every meal she made was a reflection of her heart. Isa’s love for life, her people, and her Puerto Rican roots were always at the heart of everything she did. One of her favorite sayings was, "Vive tu vida, no la mia"—"Live your life, not mine."

Isa was imperfectly perfect, embracing everyone around her no matter their background. The clothing and items we sell here embody who Isa was—unapologetically herself. We don’t filter her in any way. Si te ofendes, esta marca no es para ti. Isa’s life was about resilience, love, and embracing the beauty in who we are, no matter the struggles we face.

This brand is a tribute to my mom’s legacy, honoring the strength, pride, and warmth she shared with the world.
